Observing `Iddah despite being informed of the husband's death after a period of time
A: The `Iddah of a woman, whose husband was killed but she did not know at the time of his death, is four months and ten days if she is not pregnant even if she did not hear about his death except after the elapse of a period of time. (Part No. 20; Page No. 418) May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
